DriveTech becomes a publicly limited company (plc)
18 August 2006
The board of DriveTech has today (Friday 18th August 2006) confirmed
that DriveTech is officially a 'publicly limited company' and, as a result,
the company will now be known as DriveTech (UK) plc.
Chris Howell, Chairman and Founder, explained the decision. "We're
delighted to announce our plc status which solidifies our position as
the premier driver training company in the UK.
As we continue to grow, our plc status will provide new options for funding
that will underwrite our growth plans. It will also re-inforce the stability,
continued growth and professionalism that has underpinned our business
since its inception in 1990.
In addition, it is vital that the DriveTech brand continues to be linked
with innovation, quality and customer focus and our plc status will help
us gain greater coverage in the trade and national media.
Finally, a lot of our customers are themselves plcs and we believe that
by gaining a similar status, we have demonstrated that we are the right
company to do business with".
