
The National Driver Improvement Scheme (NDIS) for the Thames Valley Police
area are administered and delivered by DriveTech (UK) Limited and provide
drivers who have been involved in a road crash/incident, the chance to
receive further driver training. Not only will drivers attending the scheme
reduce the risk of a second incident, but they will also avoid prosecution
for Careless Driving or similar offence.
Research into road crashes tell us that 95% of all crashes are down to human error!
DriveTech (UK) Limited is a member of the Association of National Driver Improvement Scheme Providers (ANDISP) who are the regulatory body of the scheme throughout the UK.
To attend a Driver Improvement Course you must meet the following criteria:
- You must have been involved in a road crash or incident where the police have investigated the circumstances and feel that you have a case to answer in court, or the police feel that you would benefit from attending on a voluntary self-referral basis.
- You must possess a full driving licence.
- You must book your Course within a maximum of 21 days.
- You must take your course within 2 months (60 days) of booking.
- You must complete your Course within five months (150 days) of your offence.
- You must meet all the conditions of the terms and conditions.
